Filmmaker
I was born in Upstate New York, where I make my home today. My work history is varied and has always inclined toward the creative. I was trained in ballet and modern and danced professionally with the Maude Baum and Company Dance Theatre in Albany, NY. While living in Brooklyn, I studied improv comedy at the Upright Citizens Brigade in Manhattan and earned a degree in jewelry design from The Fashion Institute of Technology. I worked as a jeweler, first for Alex Sepkus, and later at DVBNY, where I handmade the designs of Elsa Peretti for Tiffany and Co. I've also worked extensively in hospitality, from chain restaurants to quaint neighborhood stalwarts to celebrity chef-owned behemoths. I have a degree in documentary studies from SUNY Albany and I’ve made a short documentary, and produced a short narrative film. I’m a full-time caregiver for a 13-year-old with disabilities, the only job I’ve ever had about which the quote, "If you do what you love, you'll never work a day in your life." rings true.
